John "Jack" Charles Staudt III

John Charles Staudt, age 69, of Port Huron passed away on Monday, March 2nd, 2020. He was born on September 14, 1950 in Detroit to John Charles Staudt II and Marylin Bursick- Cullen. He grew up in Grosse Pointe Farms and attended Our Lady Star of the Sea and Austin Catholic Preparatory School where played basketball.

Jack was known for his infectious laugh and larger than life personality. His passion in life was travelling the world to all the famous golf courses. Jack enjoyed boating with his daughter, family and friends.

Jack is survived by his beloved daughter, Jennifer Leah Pope (Daron); his three grandchildren, Dezmond, Lily and Brady; his two brothers, Tommy Staudt (Peggy- deceased) and Peter Staudt; his two sisters, Sarah “Sally” Cytacki (Walt), and Susie LaBelle (Peter-deceased); his aunt, Barbara Rachek, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jack also leaves behind a close knit group of long term friends affectionately known as “ The Pigs”.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7th, 2020 in A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 6th, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
