John Alfred Taylor

John A. Taylor 86 years old of Warren passed away peacefully on April 29th, 2019 surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Silver Point Tennessee on July 15th, 1932 and was the only child. He grew up in Baxter Tennessee and graduated from the Baxter Seminary. He left Tennessee and went to work in Detroit, Michigan at the age of 19 where he met his future wife Joyce Scarlett. On June 19th, 1954 John and his sweetheart Joyce were married in Detroit, Michigan and enjoyed over 64 years of marriage together and raised 5 children. John worked as an auto mechanic for many years and retired in 1992 from the City of Warren after serving as an auto technician for the Police Department. Johns greatest pleasure in life was his family, beloved dogs, and his cars. He enjoyed taking pictures and movies of all of them. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, Dad and Grandpa. He will be greatly missed and we are comforted knowing he is now with Jesus our Lord. Survivors include his loving wife, Joyce Eva Taylor, his 5 children, Kevin Taylor of Warren, Michigan, Cherie Wright of Cincinnati Ohio, Sheila Couch of Leonard Michigan, Larry Taylor of Warren Michigan, Rose Lani of Agoura Hills California and his beloved Miniature Schnauzer Charly. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren-Jack and Henry Lani, Jessica and Melanie Couch, Caitlin Risener.
