Josephine M Brown

Jo, as most of her friends called her, worked in public service with the Federal Government until her retirement. Jo could not me idle too long, so she volunteered at Bon Secours Hospital in Grosse Pointe for many years.

What she will be remembered most for is you would often see her and her best friend Kate Braga delivering Meals on Wheels. Jo was the driver and Kate was the runner. Together they were a dynamic duo. In her free time, playing pinochle with friends was something she truly enjoyed.

Jo never married. She was devoted to caring for her mother Estelle until her death in 1992.

Josephine is survived by her best friend Kate Braga & her family and a few distant cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20th from 4 until 8 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Jo will lie instate on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of the Mass of the Resurrection at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 467 Fairford Rd, Grosse Pointe Woods.
