Julia Polens age 93 died Jan. 16, 2009 at Fraser Villa nursing home. She was born May 11, 1915 in Valley Township, Ohio the daughter of John and Suzane (Hanas) Soyko. She married Carl Polens in 1936 and he preceded her in death in 1974. She was employed at Fred Sanders Confectionary store. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and enjoyed cooking and was an excellent baker known for her delicious cookies, pies, and cakes. Beloved wife of the late Carl. Loving mother of Patricia (James) Zabel, the late Donald (Patricia), Dorothy Rogers (the late Ronald), and Robert (Emilie). Grandmother of 11, Great Grandmother of 17.
