He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Josephine Ohorodnik (nee Kolniak); loving children, Daniel Ohorodnik (the late Mary), Susan Ohorodnik (Raj Sundar), and Jill Van Doornik (Bryan); loving grandchildren, Michelle Paterson (John), Mara Ohorodnik, Andrew Sundar, Josh Sundar, Jason Van Doornik, Alyssa Van Doornik (Noah Stiefelmayer), and Tyler Van Doornik (Holly); and cherished great-grandson, Jacob Paterson.
An instate will be held on February 9, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, located at 21620 Greater Mack Ave, St Clair Shores, MI 48080.
The funeral mass will follow on February 9, 2026, starting at 10:00 am at the same location.
