Jytte Honore Winn

(Steve Holmes) and Birgitte (Todd) Sidnam; stepmother to Roy R. Winn Jr., Pamela K. Spears, Mark A. Winn, and Stuart J, Winn. Jytte was the proud grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 11; sister of the late Inga Hansen and the late Erik (Annelise) Andersen.

Jytte was born on January 18, 1930 in Copenhagen, Denmark. She grew up in Copenhagen where she worked as a nurse. In 1960 she immigrated to Michigan (following her brother) where she continued to work as a nurse, first at Harper and Beaumont Hospitals and later at the Walled Lake Medical Center. Her older brother Erik introduced her to Roy R Winn, Sr. and they were soon married. Jytte enjoyed many years with Roy raising their combined families, playing tennis, biking, skiing, cooking, and spending time with family.

She spent the last 25 years living at the Fox Run retirement community in Novi where she continued to enjoy her hobbies and made many new friends. She could frequently be found at the pool.

A private ceremony for friends and family will be held at Fox Run. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the Fox Run Scholarship Fund or the Fox Run Residents’ Benevolent Fund.
