Dear PCE staff,

I was deeply saddened to learn of Katy Wagner's passing. Over the past decade, I had the privilege of collaborating with her on various projects. Together, our Harbor Light team compiled essential documents that were instrumental in the development of our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for the Salvation Army Harbor Light System and West Michigan (formerly known as Turning Point).
Katy's commitment, insightful contributions, and steadfast support greatly enhanced our work. Her absence will be profoundly felt by all those who had the honor of working alongside her. Although I have since been assigned to other projects and am no longer the primary contact for the EMR initiative, her dedication to serving her client(s) has remained unwavering.
Katy was more than just a colleague; she was an individual whom I deeply respected, valued, and grew to love. The significant impact she had on my life is something I will always hold dear. My thoughts and prayers are with Sven, the entire PCE family, her husband Brian, and all her family members and friends affected by this loss.

I will miss my dear friend Katy. We could see each other only 1-2 times a year and it would be like no time had passed between us because we could pick up right where we left off. She was fiercely loyal and loving, there whenever I needed her, and was never afraid to express her opinion. My heart is heavy with her loss to us, but heavens gain. Keep praying for us Katy until we meet again one day. I’m praying for all the Purrenhage sisters, Mama Sue, and Brian-her dearly devoted husband. May Mother Mary wrap you all in her mantle of peace and comfort.

Dear  Sue, Julie, Amy, Ellen, Susan & Families, 

God’s Blessings upon All of you, & Katy’s husband, Brian.  I’m very saddened to learn of Katy’s passing.  I haven’t seen her since we were young.  However, every year, I got updates about the ‘Purrenhage Girls’,  from  my Ma, when she’d meet up with Sue for their yearly lunches, or when she’d meet up with the Family for  ‘their yearly Fish Fry’ at Lent! I’ve always enjoyed hearing about All of you. I know that if Ma was here, she’d be very saddened about Katy too!  Sue & Ma’s special friendship, of 60+ years…  your  family knows how special everyone of you are to the Stawarz Family…. many great times, many laughs, & lots of love , for many years! 

I know how strong the Family’s Faith is,  so I know that Katy is in Heaven, reunited with her Dad!  My prayers are with all of you, & know that All of you are in my heart, forever!

Dearest Katie's Mom, husband Brian, loving sisters, all family and friends,
        Katie was our 1st baby sister for our Johnny and Joey many years back.  As our life journeys took us to different places we always held Katie and the whole beautiful Purrenage family dear to our hearts!  We are deeply sadden by this news of sweet Katie's untimely passing and only through eyes of faith we must try to understand her having to go from this life on earth to her eternal life.  Please know you are all in our prayers.

I met Katy at Aquinas  freshman year and it was enlightening , roommates have a way of growing on you . Say what you mean and mean what you say . We made dinner and started our own traditions for the holidays I would call her bossy and she would call me stubborn. We all mellowed by sophomore year. She was acting in plays and trying new things . Which  we should  emulate . Get out there but be yourself try new things  . Love you to the moon and back going to miss this child of God .

What can you say about a friend of 40+ years and the best godmother a mom could ever want for her children? I count myself so fortunate to have had Katy in my life for all these years and to have had her guidance and wisdom for my children as they navigated the world. Thank you for your continued friendship and love. 
To say you will be missed is a great understatement.

To Julie and family, my heart goes out to you all for the loss of your sister Katy. And to you Mrs. Purrenhage and to Brian, my deepest sympathy to each and every one of you. I love the picture you have chosen to leave with us for our memories of her. The smile, the twinkle, or is it the sparkle in her eye that is a signature Purrenhage look, so enviable, and the way I will always remember her. God bless you all as you grieve, and yet celebrate her life and all that she has been to you and for you. Love to you all. 🩷
