Our hearts go out to the Kay's family.  We were classmates in the good ole PHS class of "62.  Kay was very active playing basketball (4yrs), played drums in the bank, was class officer, on student council etc.  She had a unique sense of humor.  May she rest in peace.    Mike and Donna Warren

We would do well to emulate Aunt Kay's ability to live life as a nurse, wife, mother, and grandmother yet maintain an active involvement with the extended Cousins/Harmon family.  She understood connections between generations define us.    We learned that Kay was an alias for Edith during her nursing graduation!  Her telephone calls were treasured by my mother, Eva.  Her visits were well anticipated and thoughly enjoyed.  Her face and voice in my mother's hospital room doorway a surprise blessing beyond value.    Aunt Kay will be well remembered and sadly missed.  The Carpenter kids

Aunt Kay has long been a woman I’ve admired. Today we remember her and the ways she’s touched our lives. She was a great example of a woman who was outspoken, independent, gracious, and consistently put family first.   Some of my fondest memories are of Memorial Day weekends spent with her and my grandmother visiting cemeteries and cleaning headstones and perking up the area with the prettiest faux floral arrangements we could find. We’d usually stop somewhere in Hillsdale for lunch and I would quietly sit and listen to the fun stories Aunt Kay and my grandmother would share.   Aunt Kay like my grandmother had a very unique sense of humor and the ability to not only get each other laughing but to also bring smiles to those around them.   Their laughter could always be found at our family reunions at the Holidome! I will always remember arriving to the hotel so excited for the weekend of fun. Aunt Kay made the trip extra special by always bringing home oodles of quarters for the arcade and the “claw machine” where I would happily spend hours figuring out how to capture those cheap little stuffed animals. I was always so excited to show off my prizes and was always meant with enthusiasm by Aunt Kay who would wait patiently while I showed them off one by one.   While Aunt Kay may be gone in body she is certainly with us in spirit. She has touched the lives of many and will live on, not only in our memory but also in the way we choose to live our lives in her honor.

Kay was my maid of honor when Bruce and I were married. That was 57 years ago!  Even tho we lost touch since then, I’ll always have a sweet spot in my heart for her. She will always be remembered fondly.

I met Kay on the Plumbrook golf league , she was witty and fun to golf with. I tried, unsuccessfully, to copy her easy golf swing that looked so effortless but went a country mile. Kay was always willing to give helpful advise. I always enjoyed her stories about farm life or her early nurses training. Kay was also so proud of her grandchildren, talked often about their accomplishments.  I definitely will always think of her when I golf. Hope heaven is full of golf courses for you to enjoy!

Brian & Shannon,  Mom provided each of you with a lifetime of incredible memories and and timely life lessons.  You will hold these in your hearts forever.   Kay is smiling pain free.    May God bless you always.  -Mario & Ann

Sharon Sherban I met Kay on Tuesday Golf League at Plum Brook. I admired her golf game, her love for her Sons, Grandchildren and Daughter In Laws. She will be so dearly missed.

Rob, Brian, Jen,Shannon,Evan,&Carly Some of my favorite memories were spending Christmas together. Kay was always so nice to us. She was a strong, loving person. She really loved Evan and Carly! Rest in peace my friend.

Dear Robbie and Brian and families, Your mom invited me into the Cousins clan with open arms, humor and the knowledge that one can always eat dessert first! My boys remember her fondly! When Bob’s friend died in the Detroit area many years ago we stayed at your moms house. We left them with her while we went back to the funeral home for an event. When we returned home we found our boys watching Pistons basketball while your mom was teaching them poker! Who could ask for a better Aunt than that. When  Bob was sick and we thought it maybe lung cancer I called your mom. Aunt Eloise and Uncle Jim were both gone and I knew he needed someone too. I explained why I was calling then handed the phone to Bob. He didn’t know I had called her. They had a long conversation and I knew it really meant a lot to him. She called a few times after that to check on him. That always made both of us so happy. My boys and I send love and prayers your way. I imagine that when she arrived in heaven there was a table full of desserts, endless coffee and the loved ones that went before her waiting to embrace her!
