

Kenneth W. Boerner was born June 12, 1919 in Detroit, Michigan to Adolph and Lillie Boerner. He grew up and worked as a home building contractor and realtor in the Metro-Detroit area for the majority of his life. He entered into rest February 3, 2017 in Warren, Michigan at the age of 97. He was a very active man, and participated in many different organizations, including spending nine years on the city council of Grosse Pointe Woods. He was also a life time member of the Masonic Lodge 553 for over 60 years. Kenneth was an extremely proud veteran of the United States Navy, having serviced in World War II. A devoted husband Kenneth who loved his late wife Edith with all his heart, the couple enjoyed 71 years of marriage. Kenneth is the dear father of Keith C. (Kathryn) and the late Arlene Nagel. Loving grandfather of Kristin Williams (Neil), Julia Fuchs (Michael), Kyle Boerner, and the late Pamela Jankiewicz. Great-grand father of 7 and Great-Great-Grandfather of 2. Dear brother of the late Velma Fishwick, and Warren. Loving uncle, cousin and friend. A Memorial Service for Kenneth will be held Monday February 20th at 11am at St. Paul Lutheran church, 375 Lothrop Rd., Grosse Pointe Farms. In lieu of flowers Kenneth's family request memorial contributions be made to Great Lakes Hospice. Please share a memory on our guest book.
