Ken, or Kenny as he was called growing up, was born in Iowa on September 24, 1934 to Grace Nicholas (McCutcheon) and Herman Eugene Lister and brother Robert and sister Lois.
Ken was a lifelong Presbyterian minister who served churches in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan. He received his Doctor of Ministry from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
He loved fishing and vacationing at his cabin. He enjoyed sports and being active. He had an infectious smile, a witty sense of humor and cherished the comradery and fellowship of others. But the most important part of his life was his family, and his favorite place in life was the family cabin in Minnesota.
Ken was preceded in death by his former wives Jessie Aitkenhead and Marilyn Dietz, and his sister, Lois Roskens.
Ken is survived by his wife Barbara, his brother Robert and his children Lorraine Tooman (Steve), Jennifer Kroll (John), Brian Lister (Linda), Bruce Lister (Leslie), his grandchildren: Michael Tooman, Stephanie Wallace, Brittany Hoak (Matthew), Jami Millman (Nick), Sara Blotevogel (Tommy), Emily McNitt (Parker), Maddie Chomet (Josh), Chloe Lister, Lauren Craft, Darian Craft and great grandchildren: Dax & Rylee Wallace, Tucker Hoak, Maeve, Teddy, Aida & Mattie Millman, Liam & Jesse Blotevogel and Stella & Poppy Chomet.
Ken was best known for his unending list of quips and stories. If there is one you remember that makes you smile, please feel free to share it in the comments.
