Laura Louise Abeli, age 62, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023. Beloved wife of Michael Abeli. Cherished mother to Jennifer (Patrick) Hennigan, Jeffrey (Michelle) Abeli, Michael (Mayra) Abeli, and Kevin (Caitlin) Abeli. Adored grandmother to Olivia, Owen, Lilly, Ian, Grace, Patrick, and Julian. Dear sister to Donna, Tom, Sarah, Martha, and Margaret.
Laura was born to Mary and Donald Schultz on June 20, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan. Laura worked as a book binder for Gatherall Bindery for 25 years. While she loved her job, her most important job was being the best wife, mother, sister, and grandmother any family could ask for. Laura loved to be active - boating, exercising, and playing with her grandkids. She will be greatly missed.
A visitation for Laura will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan 48236. A funeral Mass will occur Friday, February 17, 2023 at 10:00 AM, instate at 9:30 AM, at Our Lady Star of the Sea, 467 Fairford, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236.
