Laura (nee Doughty) McDonald, age 48, a resident of Eastpointe, passed away July 11, 2017 in Mt. Clemens after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Preceded by her parents Lawrence and Sharon Doughty, her brother Lawrence Doughty. Beloved wife for 27 years of Brian. Loving mother of Dana and Rachel. Dear sister of Janett (Kevin) Daly, Sara (Josh) Swainston, and Keith Doughty. Cherished aunt to 12 nieces and nephews and great aunt to 3 nieces. Graduate of East Detroit H.S. Class of 1987. Laura spent over 20 years in the retail industry including K-Mart Corp. and Macys Corp. Laura will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends. Visitation Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 2-9 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier Rd, Grosse Pointe Woods. In state Friday July 21, 2017 9:30 am at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 23401 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. until time of funeral Mass at 10:00 am.
