Leatrice Lyle Anderson

Leatrice Lyle Anderson passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015 with family by her side. She was born on May 16, 1930 in Detroit, MI; the daughter of Francis and Lottie Hogeboom. She met George "Andy" Anderson and they were married in the Zion Grace Church in Fraser, Michigan on July 24, 1951. Leatrice, better known by her friends and family as Lyle, became a member of Zion Grace Church at the age of 5. She was a very compassionate person and a terrific listener, two qualities that helped her excel at Moehring Woods Flowers for over 35 years. She would think of others before thinking of herself, something we should always try to follow. Her strength and her faith carried her through numerous challenges in life. She was a devote follower of Christ and a living example of his love and compassion. Beloved wife of George "Andy" for 65 years. Loving mother of Rick (Tatiana), Bruce (Pamela), and Keith (Janet). Cherished grandmother of Grant, Brooke, Corey, and Kyle. Sister of Shirley (Robert) Garbe, Bonnie (Mark) Bumler, and the late Bob (surviving wife Delores) Hogeboom. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren. Family will greet guests Friday, May 8, 2015 from 10:00 am until time of the funeral service 11:00 am at Hope United Church of Christ, 35127 Garfield Road, Clinton Township, MI 48030. Memorial contributions to Hope United Church of Christ are welcomed.
