

Lily Riashi (nee Nahass) passed away in Detroit on October 18, 2018 at the age of 80. A daughter of Elias and Rose (nee Haddad), she was born in Grand Bassam, Africa on October 31, 1937. Lily attended Denby High School, graduating in 1960. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Redemption Melkite Catholic Church. It was there that she married her loving husband, Jack, in 1961. Lily was a passionate cook best known for a wide variety of Lebanese dishes, including magnificent Holiday meals which were shared with many family and friends. In her spare time, she also enjoyed reading Harlequin romance novels, attending various recitals, concerts, and sporting events involving her grandchildren, listening to Rush Limbaugh and discussing politics. Beloved wife of the late Jack. Caring mother of Mark (Diane), Mona, Jack, Jeff, and James (Beth). Cherished grandmother of Mark Jr. (Alana), Anthony, Justin, Matthew, Jack, Luke, Jarrett, Sarah, Derek, and Drew. Dear sister of Michael Nahass and Antoinette Habli. In state at 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Redemption Melkite Catholic Church, 29293 Lorraine Ave, Warren, MI 48093.
