

Louis Stephen Dutts died unexpectedly at his home in Florida on May 10, 2014. He has left behind his wife Teri (Knopf) and his family Jennifer and David Mancini, Stella and Jack, Katie and Daniel Hammel, and his special dog Sage. He has also left behind his parents Louis and Beatrice Dutts and sisters Beth Stimac and Mary Hogan and their families. Lou was a devoted family man and long-time member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 58. The most important things to him were family and friends, his union brothers, and his dog which all brought love and laughter to his life. In lieu of flowers, Lou's two favorite charitable organizations were the Service Dog Institute in Simpsonville, South Carolina and The Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation in Venice, Florida Memorial visitation Friday, May 30, 3-9 pm with Scripture Service at 7 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier Road Grosse Pointe Woods. Family and friends will gather Saturday May 31, 2014 9:30 am until time of Memorial Mass 10 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores.
