Margaret Allevato Paone

Margaret Paone - Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and cherished friend passed away peacefully on August 10, 2024 surrounded by the loving presence of her family. She was 93 years old. Known as Marge or Margie to her family and friends, she was the third of seven children born to Angeline and Joseph Allevato. She adored her sisters and brothers – Katherine (Kitty) Allevato, Frances (Jack) Merritt, Anthony (Clara) Allevato, David (Joanne) Allevato, Riz Allevato and Diane Allevato.

Marge was the mother of five children. She always liked to say “two sets of twins and one in the middle” – Debra Paone, Joseph (Terri) Paone, Robert (Lori) Paone, Steven Harper, Stephanie (Mitchell) Harper Isaacs. She was a devoted Grandmother of fourteen, Great Grandmother of sixteen and Great, Great Grandmother of two. She treasured her family, adored her nieces and nephews as well as her many cousins. Marge loved the Lord and was a faithful daughter of God worshipping along with her brothers and sisters in Christ at Martin Road Gospel Chapel. Her church family held a very special place in her heart. Her unwavering love and devotion will be greatly missed and cherished forever.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Marge’s honor to Martin Road Gospel Chapel (St. Clair Shores, MI) or St. Jude Children’s Hopsital.

A visitation for Margaret will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM at A. H. Peters Funeral Home.
