Mary Jo Patrona Rucks

Mary Jo Rucks, age 61, of Marlette, Michigan passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday June 19th, 2021. Mary Jo was a one-of-a-kind woman who lived and loved fiercely. She radiated love and acceptance to all those around her. She was known for her giving nature and witty humor. She lived by god’s grace and provided a foundation of love to her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Patricia Patrona, stepfather Salvatore Ciaramitaro, sister Patricia DeFillippo and brother James Patrona. Survived by her husband Dale Rucks and children Jamie Patrona, Brittany Rucks (Neil), and Matthew Rucks (Skye). She is also survived by her siblings Kimberly Fuga (Kim), Kathy Patrona, and Daniel Patrona. She was a loving grandmother of eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren that were her pride and joy.

Visitation for Mary Jo will be on Thursday from 2 PM until 9 PM with a Rosary service at 7 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. Mary Jo will lie in state on Friday at 10 AM until the time of the funeral Mass at 11 AM at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 1740 Mt. Elliot St, Detroit, MI 48207.
