Michael T. Irwin

Irwin, Michael T, 68, of Grosse Pointe Woods, passed away October 6th in his home. He was predeceased by his parents Doris and Dr. William Irwin. Brother of Betty and the late Bill. He was a beloved teacher at Detroit's Butzel Middle School for over 20 years. He was an animal lover, active in the Detroit Power Squadron serving as commander for 1 year. He was a member of Jefferson Yacht Club, DYC, 4H Club, and Greening of Detroit, Grosse Pointe Police Auxiliary, F.O.P. and his hunting camp. He is survived by his daughter Kathleen and her husband Jeff, Lee Irwin, and special companion Carol Presley and her family. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Michigan Humane Society, 3030 Telegraph Road, Suite 220, Bingham Farms, and MI 48025-4507. Visitation Friday 2-9 pm A.H.
