Mitchell John Monczka

Mitchell John Monczka, a resident of St. Clair Shores, passed away on April 29, 2020 at the age of 67. A son of Mack and Marie (nee Drabik), he was born on August 2, 1952 in Detroit. Mitchell was a proud graduate of Michigan State University. He made his career in the automotive industry, first working for General Motors for years before becoming CEO of Mold Masters.

Mitchell enjoyed golf and was a very talented baseball player and shared his love of the game as a Little League coach. Hilarity ensued when Mitchell was in the company of friends and family. If you didn't have a good time with Mitchell, you didn't know how to have a good time. He had the largest heart and a generous spirit. His knowledge of trivia was endless. He will be dearly missed.

Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents and dear sister, Diane. He leaves behind the love of his life, of 47 years, Vickie. Loving father of Jeannie (George), Christa (Emilie), and his one and only son, Daniel. Cherished grandfather of Matthew and Madison. Brother of Richard, Bob, and Raymond. Beloved Uncle Mitch to Kathleen, Michael, Jeffery, Angie, Betsy, Matthew, Jason, Brian, Christy, David, Susan, Amy, Jennifer, Kyle, Kevin, Louie and Kristen Marie. Best friend of Smitty, Bert, and Dan, whom he loved dearly.
