Patricia Mary Costello

Patricia Mary Costello, age 81 of Troy, passed away on April 23, 2018. She was born in Highland Park on December 21, 1936; the daughter of Patrick and Hannah (nee Mohan) Lynch. A graduate of Michigan State University, Patricia went on to teach at St. Veronica Catholic Church in Eastpointe and St. Hugo of the Hills Catholic School in Bloomfield Hills. Once her children were born, Patricia then became a dedicated homemaker and volunteered at church and to Meals on Wheels in her free time. She also ushered for the Warren Concert Band for 15 years. Patricia loved to golf, play piano and work on sewing and craft projects. Most of all, she adored spending time with her family. Beloved wife of the late John for over 40 years. Loving mother of Hannah (David Lievens) Costello, Kristin (Norman) Zerfas, Darren (Angela) Costello, Theresa (Jeff) Laski. Treasured grandmother of Elizabeth (James) Steele, John Shears, Erin Zerfas, Patrick (Sarah) Shears, Robert Zerfas, Andrew Zerfas, Leo Laski, Nikole Laski, Alyssa Laski, Andrew Laski, Erica Lievens, Aaron (Alexis) Lievens and Kelsey Lievens. Proud great-grandmother of Jane Steele, Thaddeus Steele and Cormac Steele. Dear sister of Marion (the late John) Dwyer, William (Evelyn) Lynch, Edward (Mildred) Lynch and Denis (Micaela). Cherished cousin of Kathleen (Joe) Kolar and the late Anna Clarke and Jay Clarke. Also survived by many caring nieces and nephews. Instate Friday 10AM until time of Mass 11AM at St. Malachy Catholic Church, 14115 E. 14 Mile Rd., Sterling Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Capuchins.
