

Paul J. Modrak, age 94 of Warren, passed away September 22, 2018. He was born in Portage, Pennsylvania on November 10, 1923; the son of Peter and Mary (nee Demchek) Modrak. Paul served in the United States Army during World War II during the European Campaign as an AA Machine Gunner. After his honorable discharge on December 27, 1945, he went on to loyally work for Gannette Outdoor Advertising as a Senior Stock Purchaser for over 25 years. Following his retirement in 1987, Paul did most of the finishing work on his new home in Indian River. He then moved on to Florida and North Carolina before returning back to Michigan. Paul was extremely handy and always willing to help those in need. Beloved husband of the late Virginia "Dolly" for 23 years and the late Florence "Flo" for 21 years. Loving father of Donna (David) Keefe and Ronald (Diane) Modrak. Treasured grandfather of Melissa (Shawn) Pariaug, Kimberly (Clint) Rosenberg, Matthew (Taylor) Modrak and Jared Modrak. Adoring great-grandfather of Landon "LP" Pariaug, Levi "LM" Modrak, Casey Rosenberg, Riley Rosenberg, and Brayden Harlan. Dear brother of ten predeceased siblings. Paul's family will receive friends on Friday, September 28th from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM with an evening Scripture Service at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13-1/2 Mile) in Warren. A funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 29th at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the ASPCA would be appreciated by the family.
