

Raymond Edwin LaVigne, a long time resident of Warren, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at the age of 87. He was born on Thursday, September 1, 1932 to Raymond and Arena (nee Helwig) LaVigne in Detroit, Michigan. He grew up in the Metro-Detroit area which he found a career as a Scheduler for General Motors; a career he enjoyed for over 40 years. Raymond proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army in the Korean War. Raymond loved computers and learning about new technology. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Raymond is predeceased by his parents, his sister Marjorie (Arnie) Williamson and beloved wife Marjorie Jean LaVigne (nee Schaible). He is survived by his children Lisa (Ross) Kollenberg, Raymond (Andrea) LaVigne, and his step-children Douglas Cleland and Donald (Josie) Cleland. He is the treasured grandfather of Sarah, Laney, Jacob, Nicholas, Roberta (Mike) and Donald (Ashley) and great-grandfather of Ayla, and Ruby. He is also survived by his sister Phyllis (Fred) Warren as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services for Raymond will be at 12:00 pm on Wednesday at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren. Commital at Resurrection Cemetery, in Clinton Township to follow. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
