
Beloved son of Howard and Cecelia. Loving brother of
John (Lois),
Mary Ann (Mike) Logston, Chris (Sue), Tom (Pam), and Paul (Anita).
Richard also leaves behind many other loving family members and friends.
Richard was a decorated Veteran of the United States Army serving our country during the Vietnam War. He flew in the 1st of 9th Air Cavalry. He was a door gunner and crew chief. He received the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Cluster for his honorable and dedicated service to our Country. Richard was also awarded the Bronze Star 3 times during his service along with other medals of high merit and decoration. Designing cars was one of his passions in life and he was also thoroughly committed to defending the constitution. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved nature. He loved nature, music, fishing, hunting, and Lake St. Clair. Richard enjoyed playing the trumpet and harmonica. A memorial service and military honors will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI at a later date.
