Rita Mae Friedhoff

Rita M. Friedhoff, age 96 of Rochester, MN, formerly of Grosse Pointe Woods died September 23, 2016. Rita was born November 28, 1919 in Detroit, MI to Alfred W. and Augusta J. Caspary. Rita graduated from Denby High School in 1937. She worked as an executive secretary for Fisher Body in Production Engineering where she met her future husband Robert. They spent 62 years together raising their family and traveling the world. Rita was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and the Grosse Pointe branch of Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed travel and was an avid card player. Rita is survived by a son Robert J. (Theresa) and daughter Karen M. Hibbs (Phil), 2 grandchildren Sean Donahue (Rochelle) and Claire Friedhoff, and 3 great grandchildren Nolan, Nate and Camille Donahue. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, parents Alfred and Augusta Caspary, sister Marguerite Jarvis and brother Alfred Caspary. Memorial Visitation will be Monday, October 3rd , 4-9 with Rosary at 7 pm, at A. H. Peters Funeral Home at 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 10 am, October 4th at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores. Interment will be at Mt Olivet Cemetery.
