Robert Michael Klinger

Robert, affectionately known as Bob, completed his post secondary education at Macomb Community College, Warren campus where he earned his Associates degree. A tenured and loyal employee of General Motors working for thirty years in the Cadillac Division. Upon his retirement from GM in 1985, he continued with his career at A.H. Peters Funeral Home in Warren and retired again in 2016 after enjoying thirty years of service.

Bob’s favorite pastime was spent fishing whenever and wherever he could, but most especially as at his beloved cottage in Houghton Lake with his family. He also enjoyed playing poker and was an avid Ham Radio enthusiast enjoying many hours on his radio networking with other enthusiasts.

Robert loved St. Malachy Parish and was proud to be one of the founding parishioners and a lifetime member of the parish. He cherished his time as a member of the parish council, Men’s Club, serving as an usher but most especially the lifetime friendships he made at St. Malachy.

Beloved husband of Maureen Klinger, and the late Sally Ann Klinger. Loving father of Patrick (Ginny) Klinger, Karen (Gary) Haase, Carol Jarkiewicz, Janet (Al) Wist, Laurie Coil, Kenneth (Jennifer) Meyers, and Daniel (Gabriella) Meyers. Treasured Grandfather of Sixteen and Great-Grandfather of seven. Beloved brother of the late Mary Lou (Julius) Gembarski.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Malachy Parish on September 12, 2020 at 11:00 am. Robert has been laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, MI.
