Bobby was a loving God Father to Reed Richardson, Josh Richardson, Sarah Richardson, and Keigan Monnette.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Yvonne and Robert Marsin; his brother, Dennis Rhodes; his nephew, Steven Rhodes; and his in-laws, Robert and Elizabeth Morrison.
Bobby and Patty’s first date was their senior year homecoming dance in 1985. They have been together for 40 years, and married for 32 years. After graduating high school from Bishop Gallagher, they worked hard to start building their beautiful life together. They went on many exciting vacations with friends and family every spare moment they had. Going on cruises, visiting many big cities across the country like Chicago and Boston, large group ski trips and more. The time they spent together was filled with so much love and happiness, and their marriage and love for one another was envied by many.
Bobby and Patty built their love around a beautiful home and grew their family by two, their precious daughters, Brenna and Maddie. After having their daughters, their life turned into taking care of their girls, they were his whole world. Days spent together as a family swimming in the pool in the backyard, taking rides getting ice cream, “ridin’ by the river”, and long days at the ballpark. One of Bobby’s favorite places to be was up north at the family cottage. Every weekend spent up north with the family was the best because of Bobby’s infectious smile and joyful spirit. A perfect day for Bobby would be one spent with his girls (Patty, Brenna and Maddie).
For many years, Bobby owned and operated his own bread distribution route, working hard and taking pride in putting a smile on everyone's face during the early morning hours.
Bobby was known for his big heart and joyful spirit. He loved everyone and made each person feel seen and valued — it has been said that “everyone believed they were Bobby’s best friend,” a testament to the warmth and kindness he showed to all.
A passionate sports fan, Bobby loved football, baseball, basketball, and hockey. He especially loved coaching his daughters in softball and was always their biggest supporter. He was a member of the “Weak Soup” feather bowling team through Cadieux Cafe in Detroit. Bobby and his team have won two championships together, which he was incredibly proud of. Bobby treasured time with his friends, whether it was watching the big game, golfing, fishing, or simply catching up on the phone. He was the life of the party, bringing laughter and energy wherever he went.
Bobby’s legacy is one of love, generosity, and unwavering support for those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
