Roberta D. Jarosz

Roberta Diana Jarosz was born October 11, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan. Roberta was the daughter of Kenneth and Catherine Granthen. She entered into rest January 24, 2019 at the age of 81. Roberta was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. Roberta expressed love in everything she did. Everyone knew they were thought of through cards, gifts, and phone calls. She never missed an opportunity to let you know you were loved. Roberta had great talents for decorating her home. She loved all holidays and took great care in making Christmas very special for everyone. Roberta was also known for her crafting skills as she made all her grandchildrens Christmas stockings, and special ornaments for friends and family. She was also a talented seamstress and made custom drapes for friends and neighbors. In her younger years Roberta worked at Consolidated Gas Company before becoming a sales clerk at K-mart where she continued to work for almost 20 years. Working in retail fit her friendly personality. She was also a devoted member of St. Edmunds Catholic Church (presently St. Faustina Catholic Church). Roberta leaves behind her beloved husband, Chester, of 60 years. She is the dear mother of Michael (Jennifer) Jarosz, Karen (Mark) Germeroth, Sharon (John) Benson and Mark (Amy) Jarosz. Treasured grandmother of David, Matthew, Sarah, Thomas, Daniel, Robert, Christine, John, Michael, Paul, Jessica, Brian and Nicole and great-grandmother of Avery, Aidan, Luke, Liam and Samuel. She will also be missed by her remaining brother Kenneth (Mary Ann) Granthen. She is predeceased by her parents, and siblings Donald and Patricia (George). Visitation to celebrate Roberta's life will be Sunday, January 27, 2019 and Monday, January 28, 2019 from 2:00 until 8:00pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd, Warren. She will lie in State Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 10am until time of Mass 10:30am at St. Faustina Catholic Church, 14025 E 12 Mile Rd, Warren.
