Roger Lynn Scott, 71, of Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, formerly a long time resident of Arenac County, passed away on October 22, 2016. Roger was born in Bay City, Michigan on August 20, 1945. He graduated from Standish-Sterling High School in 1963, and continued on to receive his designation from Michigan State University as a licensed independent insurance agent. As a long time business owner, Roger was very active in the community, serving many of its local organizations. Roger was married to his wife Janice on November 4, 1963. They were married 53 years, and had two daughters. Roger is survived by his wife, Janice, his daughter Wendy Farmer (Larry), his daughter Janell Evans-Olsey, 8 grandchildren, & 6 great-grandchildren. Roger is preceded in death by his father & mother, William & Ruth Scott, and his son-in-law, Cary Pugh. There will be a private, family service with interment at Sterling Cemetery.
