Ronald Stephen Hritz

Ronald Stephen Hritz was born on Saturday, March 13, 1943 in Youngstown, Ohio; the son of Mary and Stephen Hritz. He served in the US Air Force from February 1962 until January 1966. Ronald married Vivian Ella Syracuse on June 25, 1966 at St. Nicholas Greek Catholic Church in Detroit, Michigan. He worked for more than 30 years at General Motors in the photographic division and at the proving grounds and retired in 1999. He died on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 with family by his side in Warren, Michgan. Ronald is a member of St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families Parish in Center Line, Knights of Columbus, Dad's Club VFW in Center Line, American Legion Post, and Amvets Post 9 in Detroit. He loved to go bowling, go gambling at the casinos, and scratching off some lottery tickets. Beloved husband of Vivian for 50 years. Loving father of Ronnie (Kim) Hritz, Tom (Kerry) Hritz, and Ken (Erica) Hritz. Dearest Papa of Stephanie, Scott, Sarah, Justina, Melinda, Matthew, Alex, Anthony, and Ryan. Great-grandfather of Evan, Gabe, Emma, Kolten, and Jordan. Brother of Donna (Earl) Schick and Carol (Pat) Sheehy. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation Friday, April 28, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren. Funeral service with military honors will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment Christian Memorial Cultural Center in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Memorial contribution to the Disabled American Veterans (D.A.V.) would be appreciated.
