Rosa Morreale

Rosa Morreale was born in Grotte, Sicily the daughter of Vittorio and Concetta Daina. There she married Antonio Morreale in 1960 and together they emigrated to the United States where they raised four children. She was a self employed seamstress and enjoyed gardening and cooking . She excelled in traditional Sicilian dishes relished by her family and friends. Rosa was a doting grandmother and lived for her family. She highly valued education.A determined individual, she taught herself to read and write English. Rosa was the dear mother of Dr. Antonio Morreale III (Stefania), Dr. Vittorio Morreale (Claudia), Dr. Marco Morreale, and Linda (Kevin) Lynch. She was the loving grandmother of Antonio IV, Marco, Alessia, Giulia, Vittorio II, Brennan, Michael, and Anna Lisa. She was the cherished sister of Lina, Maria, and the late Salvatore. Rosa is predeceased by her beloved husband Antonio and her parents Vittorio and Concetta Daina. Visitation will take place on Wednesday April 18, 2018 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a Scripture Service 7:00 pm at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. Rosa will lie in state on Thursday April 19, 2018 9:30 am until time of Mass 10:00 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 467 Fairford, Grosse Pointe Woods. The interment will take place following the Mass at Romeo Cemetery. The family has requested that memorial contributions be directed to NAMI, 401 S.
