

Rosanne M. Solomon, age 63, died peacefully on April 9, 2015 in her home. She was born in Detroit on June 24, 1951, the oldest daughter of Sarkes and Theresa (nee Andary) Solomon. Rosanne grew up on the eastside of Detroit and graduated Finney High School in 1969. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Baker College. Rosanne also graduated from Virginia Farrell Beauty School and was a licensed cosmetologist. Most of her life she was a banker, working in the mortgage department, starting at Standard Federal, which became LaSalle Bank and is now, Bank of America. Rosanne was a family person, who loved her nieces and nephews like they were her own. Family was very important to her and she loved to entertain them. Known for her great cooking, she also enjoyed reading, gardening, shopping, bowling and playing pinochle. She also was a dog lover and was a volunteer for the Grosse Pointe Animal Adoption Society. She volunteered her time to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Rosanne is survived by her siblings, Sarkes Solomon, Jr. (Elisa), Peter Solomon (Robin), and Joanne Herron (Brad); her sister-in-law Terry Solomon and her loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Diane and brother Joe. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack at Overlake in St. Clair Shores. There will be a gathering of family and friends at church beginning at 9:30 a.m.
