Rosaria T Bennett

Rosaria T Bennett, age 94, of Harper Woods, Michigan passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023. Also known as Sara. Raised by parents Anthony and Rose Gazzarato, along with her two sisters and her brother in Detroit all born at home.

She worked at Better Made factory and, Dodge Main where she injured her hand.

Married in 1952 to Roy Bennett, for 8 years till his death in 1960 leaving her a widow with four children.

Rose worked at United States Post Office in Warren Michigan from March 1968- Dec 1989 until her retirement.

Survived by daughter Clara Kammann, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter Rosemarie Bush (1995) and sons Danny Bennett (2004) and Steven Bennett (2015). Preceded in death by siblings Virginia Gallow (2020), Anthony Gazzarato (2022), and Caroline Heinz (2022).

She endured many of life’s trials and tribulations including financial hardship and physical conditions.

Above all else she loved her family, food, travel, and art.

She has always been a fighter providing for her children and grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather for a memorial visitation on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan 48236. A repast will be served at 4:00 PM and a memorial service will be at 6:00 PM on Friday.
