McIntyre, Samuel John, age 88, a resident of St. Clair Shores died peacefully on January 21, 2010. He was born on June 9, 1921 in Gainsborough, Saskatchewan; son of Leonard and Eunice (nee Nichols) McIntyre. He was predeceased by his wife Janice of 57 years. He is survived by his loving children Martha (the late Kevin) Buckley, Bonnie (Joe) Medici, Carol (Bob) Price and Mary (Chris) McClees, and treasured grandchildren Kevin, Joe, Emily, Lisa, Sam, and Claire. Sam retired from both Eonic and Budd Companies. He was a quiet dependable presence in many lives and could fix anything. He used those skills in service for Churches, friends, and relatives. Visitation Sunday 2:00 - 8:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Instate Monday 10:00 am until 11:00 am Funeral Service at Grosse Pointe Woods Presbyterian Church 19950 Mack Ave., Grosse Pointe Woods. Reverend Jim Rizer will officiate. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
