Dear Grandma, You were my stateboard model (great finger waving hair), my first client. Fond memories of all those smelly perms we used to do at your condo and American House. Loved the times I spent with you doing your hair. Even though you didn't remember my name, it was great to know that I was the one known as, "the girl who cuts my hair". Thank you for all the fun times we spent at your house on Barlow and especially on New Years Eve. Made my birthday real special. I will miss you dearly. Dear Mom, Im so glad we had 7 special years together. Dont get me wrong, all the years were special but I had almost every day to spend time with you at Father Murrays. I will remember all the phone calls to the kitchen..."is my daughter there? She needs to come upstairs". I will remember all the picnics, Christmas parties, helping you with bingo and just going outside to sit on the patio. The special care from Debra, Tomiko, and all the other special help. You were a very special lady, a lot of people at Father Murrays will miss you and all of your little lady friends will miss you even more. One of the things I will miss the most is your vice grip and telling me how beautiful my jewelry is, and the many times you sat in the lobby just waiting for the doors to open so you could sneak out and go home. So many memories for the last 7 years, I could go on forever. When you first came to live at Father Murray, you were my little fatty patty but the last few months you were my little skinny mini, but yet so strong. When I retired I was so worried about you because I wouldnt be there for you every day. But you know you fooled me and did great. Will miss you and with much love. Your Daughter, Elaine

When I was very little, Stephanie Szwejk was my "Auntie Peshie," and I had fun calling her that even recently. I have incredibly wonderful memories of sitting at her kitchen table and being fed endless amounts of fabulous Polish food, and the best baked ham in the universe. I will always, always think of her when I see bubble Christmas lights, because I was in awe of them at her house. Another niece of Stephanie's, my sister Allyn, remembers her positive attitude and spirit, no matter what challenges she had. I'll never forget taking my mom to visit her sister Stephanie in 1997, and the incredibly warm and strong hugs she gave us. She worked hard at everything she did, and had a fantastic smile and laugh. How lucky we are to have her in our family tree forever !

Mom, I will always have many fond memories of our life time together. You and I will always continue to walk hand in hand as we stroll down the path that life leads me. My prayers are with the family of Stephanie Dolores Szwejk. Regretfully, I never met her, however, I spoke to Stephanie on the phone once. I know from her son, John, that she was a wonderful woman and mother to her children and was loved by all who knew her. May loving memories console you and help you through this sad time.
