Theresa M. Kelly

Theresa Kelly passed away on April 18, 2014 at Sunrise assisted living in Grosse Pointe Woods at the age of 83. She was born on January 25, 1931 in Detroit; daughter of Adam and Mary (nee Murphy) Urquhart. Theresa led a very active life. She was the manager for Jacobson's Home Store in Grosse Pointe for 17 years from 1975 until 1992. She then worked for her dear brother in-law, Bill McClellan as an office assistant at Ram Pattern, McClellan and Associates, retiring in 2001. Mrs. Kelly was very organized and meticulous. Her attention to detail was immaculate. She was always well dressed and was rarely seen with a hair out of place. Her kindness and social graces touched the lives of everyone she met. She would kill you with kindness and loved everyone she came across. After retirement she shared her love for others and charitable spirit as a volunteer at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in the gift shop. She was an avid Red Wings and Tigers fan. Theresa's biggest joy and greatest love in life was her children and grandchildren. She was full of wisdom and tried to be involved with her grandchildren's lives, helping them chart the courses of their lives. She dearly loved her son Richard A. Kelly (Jean); and daughters Mary Ellen Tsvetkoff (Steven), and Colleen M. Schulte (John). She was very proud of her grandchildren Paul, Christian, Shannon, Bradley, Ann Marie, Colin, Abbey, and Kelly. She leaves behind her sisters Veronica Dew and Suzanne McClellan; brothers Jack and Richard Urquhart and numerous loving nieces and nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and siblings Mary Woloszyn, Adam Urquhart, Elizabeth Bultinck, Margaret Krass and Nancy Boguth. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Mrs Kelly will lie instate on Wednesday from 11:30 am until the time of the Mass of the Resurrection at 12:00 pm at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack., St. Clair Shores. Father Richard Bartoszek will officiate. She will be buried at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Twp.
