Victoria B. Michaels

Victoria B. Michaels, age 92 died on Monday, December 20, 2010 at St. John Hospital in Detroit. She was born on June 14, 1918 in Detroit, the daughter of Charles and Mary Armaly. Victoria was one of twelve children. She was an "East Sider" her entire life, attending SS. Peter & Paul Elementary School and St. Joseph High School. Victoria's life was centered around her family. She loved to watch sports on television and was well versed in athletics. Mrs. Michaels is survived by three children, Gari Michaels, Sharon Michaels and Vic Michaels; her daughters-in-law Jane Michaels and Linda Michaels; her son-in-law William Fournier; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren; and siblings Eleanor Sacca, Pat Feldman, Vincent Armaly and Jerry Armaly. She was predeceased by her husband Victor in 1959, a son Joseph and daughter Eleanor Fournier. Her body will lie instate at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 21120 Madison in St. Clair Shores from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until mass begins at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Fr. Jim Lopez will officiate. Interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Detroit.
