William Matthew Collins, DDS. Age 86. Beloved husband of D. Jeanne. Loving father of William Michael Collins (deceased) and Dr. Elizabeth Ann Collins. Grandfather of William Isaac Collins. Step-grandfather of Jacqueline Sloan and father-in-law of Melissa W. Collins. Brother of Norma J. Kropf and Terrence P Collins.
Former faculty member of the University of Detroit School of Dentistry, University of Kentucky College of Allied Health, and Associate Dean, Health and Human Services, Macomb Community College. Served as a captain in the US Army. Proud uncle of many nephews, nieces, great and great-grand nephews and nieces. Member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish, Knights of Columbus, and former cantor, usher, and Cub Scout leader.
Visitation Wednesday from 3 – 7 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 12 PM at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 467 Fairford Road, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236.
