William J. Hogg

William J. Hogg, 74, formerly of Eastpointe, died Friday, May 23, 2008, at Providence Hospital, Southfield. He was born May 13, 1934, in Stamford, Conn. Mr. Hogg formerly worked as a painter for Fred Sanders Company and retired from Providence Hospital as a painter. He enjoyed building miniature doll houses and gardening. Relatives said he took special pride in his flowers. He also enjoyed restoring antiques and spending time with his dog, Tiffani. He was a 1952 graduate of East Detroit High School. He is survived by his wife, Kitty (nee Williams); children, Kimberly (Brian) Garavaglia, Kevin (Ricardo) and Karen (Michael) Siddall; grandchildren, Loren, Chelsea and Kaitlin; sister, Joan (Bill) Montgomery; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Edith and James Hogg; and sisters, Elsie Keith and Mary Hogg. A funeral service will be held at noon Tuesday at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road (at Masonic), Warren, with the Rev. William Lawrence officiating. Burial will take place in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township. Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Humane Society, 26711 Northwestern Highway, Southfield, MI 48034.
