William Christ Partalis

Partalis, William Christ, age 80 of Farmington Hills. Loving father of Christina. Dear brother of Thomas and June. Dear uncle of Catherine Billington (Partalis). He is also survived by many cousins, here and in Greece. Bill graduated from Hillsdale College in 1951 with a degree in Economics. He was a Korean War veteran who retired from The Detroit News after having spent twenty five years as a bar, then restaurant owner. After retirement, he moved to North Port, Florida where he enjoyed playing cards and shooting pool. In 2003, he returned to Michigan to be close to his daughter. Bill was an avid reader, coin collector and Detroit Tigers fan. He adored photography, listening to music and playing his trumpet. Above all, we will remember his never ending generosity and love for his friends and family. May his memory be eternal. Visitation Sunday 2-9pm with a Trisagion Service 7pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier, Grosse Pointe Woods. In state Monday 10:30am until time of Service 11:00am at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral 707 E. Lafayette Blvd., Detroit. Interment Roseland Park Cemetery.
