

Seppala William "Bill" Leslie, Age 62, of Grosse Pointe Woods, died suddenly at home on Thursday, December 4, 2008. He was born in Detroit to the late Leslie and Katherine Seppala. He is survived by his wife, Mary Beth; his sons, Michael and Mark; his sister, Sandra Seppala; his nephews, Jeffrey (Monica) Wilcox and David (Kathy Aoki) Wilcox. Also survived by five great nieces and nephews; the Urban family; Timothy Jaqua; and numerous friends. He graduated from Denby High School and the University of Michigan, where he was a Sigma Chi. He was an Eagle Scout, Vietnam veteran, and president and owner of the Harper Sport Shop in St. Clair Shores. He was a member of the Mack Avenue Merchants Association and the Les Cheneaux Club. Bill was a sports enthusiast, model-boat builder, and enthusiastic gardener. He was a mentor and voice of reason for his family and friends and will be sorely missed. Funeral service on Monday, December 8, at 7 p.m. at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, corner of Mack Avenue and Vernier Road, in Grosse Pointe. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 8, from 27 p.m. Interment in Manton, Michigan, in the spring. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
