

Andrew Joseph “Andy” Bauman, 38, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024. He was born July 14, 1986, the son of Max and Ann (Able) Bauman. He was a 2005 graduate of Whetstone High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines from 2006 - 2010. He loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter, Olivia. Andy enjoyed military history, blacksmithing with his best friend, who was his Dad, Max, building LEGO sets and military models, playing video games, quoting countless movies, pulling pranks, and sharing his slightly inappropriate sense of humor. He was a Master Counselor of the Linden Chapter of Ohio DeMolay. Andy was a current employee of the City of Columbus where he worked as a Security Specialist. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Ernestine and Henry Bauman. In addition to his parents, Andy is survived by his extremely patient partner of 11 years, Heather Brokaw; beloved daughter, Olivia; maternal grandparents, Bob and Mary Ann Able; aunt, Laura (Brad) Kyser; uncles, Rob (Jeanette) Able and Matt (Deb) Able; not-in-laws, Cindi, Tom, Joseph, and Sally; close friends, Whitney Landis and Jeremy Iman; and many extended family members and friends. Andy will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2024 at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Rd., Grove City, where the funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. Interment Grove City Cemetery.
