

Born to the late David and Martha (King) Joseph, Barb was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Hamilton; sister, Linda Damron; and sister-in-law, Patricia Joseph.
Barb is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, James Birk; sons, Richard Birk and Robert (Kim) Birk; son-in-law, Ken Hamilton; cherished grandchildren, Madeleine Hamilton, Owen Birk, and William Hamilton; and brother Jon Joseph. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Shirley (Robert) Clyburn; former daughter-in-law, Anita Birk; life-long friend Sandie (Paul) Crissinger; along with her nieces, nephews, and many friends who will miss her dearly.
A life-long member of Grove City United Methodist Church, Barb served as President of the United Methodist Women, coordinated bereavement dinners, and helped to establish the contemporary worship service. She also assisted with the local food pantry along with teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.
Barb had a passion for the holiday seasons, especially Christmas. She especially enjoyed her trips to Frankenmuth, Michigan to explore the Christmas shops. Barb loved decorating her home, collecting Nutcrackers and Santas, and making holiday decorations. She was a talented crafter who created beautiful bows, wreaths, and centerpieces. Above all, she enjoyed hosting holiday events in her home with warmth and care. Nothing made her happier than being surrounded by family and friends.
Barb's legacy of faith, service, and love for family will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Grove City United Methodist Church, 2684 Columbus St., Grove City, OH 43123, followed by a celebration of life service at 1:00 p.m. in the Contemporary Worship Center with Rev. Dr. Brian Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery.
