Barbara Ann Peters

September 12, 1944 – February 6, 2026

Barbara Ann Peters, lovingly known as “GPS” to her great-grandchildren, passed away surrounded by the love of a family she built, nurtured, and adored. Her life was a beautiful example of devotion, friendship, laughter, and presence—a life truly well lived.

Barbara was born on September 12, 1944, and grew up to share a lifelong love story with her high school sweetheart and husband, Jeffrey Lynne Peters. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, humor, and deep connection, setting the foundation for generations to come.

She was a proud and devoted mother to Kathy Mullins (Greg), Jeffrey Peters (Holli), and Jamie Peters (Laura). Her greatest joy came from watching her family grow, and she cherished every role she played—mom, grandma, great-grandma, and steady anchor for all.

Barbara was the beloved grandmother of Simon (Kimber), Toni (Kyle), Lauren (Brad), Sam (Eric), Rachel (Nico), Matthew (Madelline), and Leah, and the treasured great-grandmother of Brody, Jasper, Phaelan, Kara, Audry, Addi, Elijah, Asher and Munchkin who knew her as “GPS”

She was preceded in death by her parents and many lifelong friends who no doubt welcomed her with open arms.

Barbara had a creative soul and a sharp mind. She was an avid digital scrapbooker, preserving memories with care and intention so future generations would always know where they came from and the fun we had. She loved playing bridge, treasured deep friendships, and found her happiest moments during weekends at the lake house—surrounded by family, friends, laughter, and the simple joy of being together.

To know Barbara was to feel welcomed, supported, and loved. Her legacy lives on in the stories shared, the traditions continued, and the countless lives she touched through her kindness, loyalty, and unwavering presence.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. 💛
