He was born on December 4, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late John and Edith Rericha.
In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by multiple siblings and his beloved wife of 49 years, Rosemary.
He is survived by his son Brian Rericha; daughter Michelle Rericha; his dear friend Fred Kawa; and his treasured dogs, Gus and Vinny.
Chris devoted many years to working in maintenance at Monterey Care Center, where he not only took pride in his work but also treasured the friendships he built. A proud and patriotic United States Air Force veteran, he served his country with honor and stayed actively involved in his community as a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Chris enjoyed shooting and had a deep interest in firearms. Over the years, he gathered immense collections of both guns and coins.
Chris was a deeply family-oriented man whose greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved. He enjoyed traveling with his children to destinations such as the Bahamas and Alaska, and taking meaningful trips to places like Gettysburg, Boston, Cape Cod, and Winston-Salem. He was a devoted and loving husband to his adored wife, Rosemary, with whom he shared nearly five decades of love and companionship. Even after her passing, Chris spoke of her often and missed her profoundly, carrying her memory with him in everything he did.
