Born to Robert and Midge (Cooper) Collier, Connie was a proud graduate of South High School. She went on to dedicate over 46 years of service to Kroger, where she was known not just as a hardworking employee, but as a friend and bright presence to coworkers and customers alike.
Connie was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her son, Raymond Sayre Jr. She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Raymond Sayre Sr.; her son, Richard (Emma) Sayre; grandchildren Brandon (Madison) Sayre, Hayley (Zachary) Jones, Joey (Nikolina) Jewell, Briar (Ali Lusk) Sayre, Ayden Sayre, and Brittany McDonald; and great-grandchildren Beckett Sayre and Nora Sayre. She also leaves behind many dear friends and coworkers who will miss her kindness and warmth.
Connie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved taking her grandchildren to the zoo, sharing a large order of fries from McDonald's, savoring a White Castle burger with a hot cup of black coffee, and enjoying classic western movies. She had a sweet tooth and especially loved Almond Joys, Reese’s Cups, and Fig Newtons. Her grandchildren will always remember the way she made the best brownies and meatballs just for them, always with love.
She was a ray of sunshine to all who knew her, known for her humor, generosity, and gentle spirit. Her memory will be cherished by all whose lives she touched.
