Dorothy “Jeanie” Butera, age 83 of Grove City, formerly of Lewis Center passed away Friday October 6, 2023. Jeanie was born in Patriot, OH to the late Elmer and Helen (née Kerr) Neal. Jeanie was a longtime hairdresser and operated her business in the Lewis Center/Columbus area. Jeanie enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. She was a devoted mother and loved dogs and always had several to greet you when you came to visit. Jeanie was one of the most honest and caring persons you would ever meet. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Nick Butera. Jeanie is survived by her daughter to whom she was a selfless caregiver, Lisa Butera; son Tony (Vanessa) Butera; grandson Tyler (Stephanie) Butera; and many dear friends. Jeanie’s family will receive friends 2-4 PM Saturday, October 14 at Schoedinger Grove City 4242 Hoover Rd.
