Eileen L. Goldhardt

Eileen L. Goldhardt, 96, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024. She was born June, 8, 1927 in Ross County, Ohio to the late Woodson and Mary (Slager) Furniss. She retired with 35 years of service as an Orient, OH rural mail carrier. She was an avid reader and enjoyed books from the Grove City Library. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-granddaughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Jay Goldhardt and granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Chew. Eileen is survived by her children, Don (Sharon) Goldhardt and Cathy (Jim) Chew; grandchildren, Brian (Aimee) Goldhardt and Cindy (Todd) Winters; great-grandchildren, Amanda Goldhardt, Annabelle Savage, Joshua Savage, Sophia Savage, Cooper Winters, and Emily Milligan; great-great-granddaughter, Braelyn Candel; sister, Gloria Formica; many nieces and nephews; and friends. Visitation will be held 12-1 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Rd., (HOOVER RD AT KINGSTON AVE), Grove City where funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment Grove City Cemetery East.
