Gerald Eugene Dennis

Jerry was a 1965 graduate of Bishop Ready High School. He started his own company, Jerry Dennis Interiors, doing paper hanging and painting for over 25 years. He was also a CDL truck driver for JB Hunt Trucking Company for another 20 years. During his time there, Jerry won an achievement for his safe driving for over 2 million miles. After retirement, he continued to work for S. M. Miller Construction Company, driving truck. Jerry found enjoyment in golfing with the Teamster’s Gold League for 50+ years. He also loved bowling and fishing as well as watching Ohio State football and Nascar races. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He always kept people on their toes with his honest and funny sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all of those who got the chance to know him.

Jerry is survived by is loving wife of 52 years, Luann Dennis; his children, Jay (Rhonda and kids) Dennis, Gina (Rob) Heiser, and Mindy (Steve) Simon; siblings, Bernie Dennis, Glenn (Terry) Dennis, and Mary Jeanne (Larry) England; grandchildren, Kayla (Ryan) Brenzel, Jacob (Kat) Dennis, and Brady Simon; great-grandchildren, Kian & Lylah Dennis, Finn & Sawyer Brenzel; his favorite golfing buddy, James (Bubba) McCalister jr; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Irene Dennis and his best furry friend, Buddy.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked you to make a donation to Lighthouse Community Christian Church in Jerry’s honor.

A visitation will be held at Lighthouse Community Christian Church, 11659 OH-104, Ashville, Ohio, 43103, on Saturday, February 15th, starting at 10am to 11am with a service following at 11am. The family will be hosting a luncheon at the church following the service, all are welcome to join and share memories.
