Jessie M. Bennett

Jessie M. Bennett, age 92, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s residence on Thursday, January 25, 2024. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years Charles W. Bennett, son, Franklin (Brenda) Bennett, siblings, Margaret (Sam) Edelstein, Mary (Dan) Paglaiccetti, Bob Williamson, Ruth Gooding. Jessie is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Jeffrey) Dilley, Linda (Frank) Simmons, grandchildren, TaMarie Simmons, Nicholas Dilley, Nicole Simmons, Robert Simmons, Jared Dilley, William Bennett, Timothy Bennett, Tiberius Lightoller, great grandchildren, Tyler Dilley, Taylor Dilley, Noah Dilley, Madison Dilley, Makayla Dilley, great great granddaughter, Ava Sherman. She was a long time member of the Galloway Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon and an Elder, served as the head of the Women’s Association for many years, a member of the Grove City Senior Center where she was a part of the Humdinger Band, delivered for Meals on Wheels and went to Hawaii with the Senior Center. Jessie enjoyed making quilts for her kids and grandkids, painting, making crafts of all kinds. She had a strong spiritual side and enjoyed being at the Church. Her family was an important part of her life. Visitation will be held 4-7 pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY 4242 Hoover Rd. (Hoover Rd at Kingston Ave.) with her funeral being held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 11 am with Pastor Thom Shuman, officiating. Interment will be at Galloway Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Galloway Presbyterian Church 6191 Hall Rd. Galloway, OH 43119.
