

Born and raised in Columbus, Tony attended Eastmoor High School and built a life centered around family, music, and community. He was a beloved custodian at Darbydale Elementary, where he touched countless lives with his kindness and was cherished by the children and staff alike.
Tony had a lifelong love of music and shared his talent as a member of the band Burnt Orange. His joy for playing and performing left lasting memories for those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Detty; stepdaughters, Mandy Harvey and Mindy Hewitt; and his brothers and sisters, David (Denise) Detty, Mark (Alison) Detty, Michelle (Ronald) Ritter, and Rhonda (Chris) Uhl, as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John, and mother, Barbara.
Tony will be remembered for his warm heart, sense of humor, and the way he brightened the lives of those around him.
A visitation will be held at Schoedinger Norris Grove City, located at 4242 Hoover Road, Grove City, Ohio, 43123, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at Schoedinger Norris Grove City on Thursday, October 16, 2025, starting at 11:00 am. A graveside committal will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery, located at 6440 S High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio, 43137, on October 16, 2025.
